Summer Rummage Readiness

Get ready!

Whether you call it a rummage sale, garage sale, yard sale or flea market, Thirty-One has a tote for you this summer.

For those holding yard sales, use the Mini Organizer as your portable cash register & yard sale management base! Keep some extra labels and pens handy in case you need to reprice some items.  Use the exterior pockets like a change drawer – keeping your quarters, nickels, and dimes separated and easily accessible for quick transactions! Your phone can also fit comfortably in one of the 8 pockets! A small notebook will fit easily in the tote itself if you’re tracking your sales.

If you’re participating a large yard sale or need to carry your items a long way from where you store them to were you’ll sell them, use the Large Utility Tote to make your set up and clean up times a breeze.

You can pack your items in the tote, and unload them at the display tables without making so many trips back and forth. This also saves you from lugging cumbersome boxes everywhere.  If you have items left at the end of the day, just line your Large Utility Tote with a trash bag and fill it up!  You can take the trash bag out and drop it off at a local donation center!

For shoppers, the exterior pockets of the Organizing Utility Tote help you organize the necessities while keeping them in easy reach: water bottles (more than one if you’re taking your kids), hand sanitizer, and even one of those tiny battery-powered fans. There’s still room for your keys, phone, and wallet in the large exterior pocket or mesh side pockets!

At the same time, the interior of the bag makes a great shopping tote! You can put your finds in it without having to worry about a plastic sack ripping, and the straps let you carry it comfortably and keep your hands free!

Don’t Forget to Take Your Lunch!

Dedicated shoppers often picnic at their cars.  Consider building a picnic kit with the Mini Organizer: small paper plates, napkins, cutlery, and cups can all fit in that handy tote!  Don’t forget the food!  For one or two, the Lunch-To-Go Thermal is a great solution! You can easily fit an ice pack, a simple lunch, and drinks in this zipping tote.

Families of 3 or 4 should move up to the Picnic Thermal Tote.  This tall tote can fit a small tower of sandwiches and even a 2 liter bottle!

If your group is larger or if you want to include extra snacks for the car ride, get the Market Thermal Tote! This large tote is great for keeping a large picnic lunch ready and cool without taking up as much space as a cooler. Plus, if you find great produce buys at the flea market, you’ve got a cool place to keep your veggies for the ride home!
If someone in your family has food allergies or a restrictive diet, consider taking individual lunches in the Thermal Tote or Cinch-It-Up Thermal Tote.  These totes can fit each person’s individual lunch and snacks, and if you’re pressed for space, they easily fold up and out of the way!

Get ready for your summer rummage sales in style with Thirty-One!

Summer Savvy

Get your kids ready for those trips to their Grandparents’ house during summer vacation!

A Square Utility Tote can help grandparents cope with toys and projects that will be temporarily filling up their home. This solution will also help prevent “where’s my toy?” syndrome because your kids will have a central location to keep their games and toys during their visit.

This will also help keep their Grandparents’ home from looking like hurricane-grandkids demolished it.

While backpacks like the Upperclassman Backpack are great suitcases for younger children, teens & preteens might prefer something with a little more space like the Retro Metro Weekender or City Weekender Tote.

Send along a Storage Tote to act as their travel hamper – keeping dirty clothes away from the clean ones even far from home.

For the youngest summer visitors, unpacking into unfamiliar closets and chest of drawers can be a hassle. Send your little ones to Grandma’s already unpacked! Just pack their clothes in the Oversized Storage Organizer. When they get to Grandma’s house, they just slide it under the bed. Now Grandma won’t have to dig through a backpack to find socks the next morning!

In case of swimming, include an Expand-A-Tote Day Extender  with all your kids’ swimming needs like deflated intertubes and floaties, nose plugs, waterproof sun block, etc.

Add in the All-In-One Organizer with important things that need to travel with your kids or items that their Grandparents might not have for them: medication & instructions, waterproof sun block, kiddies’ Band-Aids, Insect repellent, and anything else you can think to add. Keeping these items in a single tote can keep things running smoothly at Grandma’s house – and save Grandma a lot frustration later.

These products make the trip easier for everyone and let them focus on the time they spend together – not trying to sort out whose sock that is and where are the pool toys. Isn’t that what you really want when your kids stay with their grandparents – for your kids and your parents to play together and connect?

A Book Club Companion

Combining the All-In-One Organizer with the Fold-And-Go Organizer, creates a simple, elegant solution to meet your book club needs.

The All-In-One Organizer is 8″ high, 12″ wide, and 6.5″ deep with a mesh pocket on each 6.5″side, and it had two sturdy handles.  As a Book Club Companion, it holds:

  • A Good Book (or your ereader/iPad)
  • Reusable Coffee/Tea Cup or Water Bottle
  • Reading Group Guide (if any)
  • A Binder for Any Handouts from/for Book Club
  • Container of Cookies or Snacks to Share
  • The Fold-And-Go Organizer
    • A Notepad for Your Notes (if your book club uses notes)
    • Your Bookmark (or spare marks for referring to passages)
    •  A Pen and/or Pencil

The Fold-And-Go Organizer is 5.5″wide and 8.5″ high. It has a 50 sheet Notepad, interior pockets – one with a hook-and-loop closure and the other with an elastic top opening – and an elastic band closure.

Bundling your book club supplies into this mobile companion gives you an organized solution that leaves you a free hand to carry in a dish for a potluck meeting or shake hands with new members while offering the flexibility to travel to someone’s home, a meeting at the library or even a coffee shop! It also keeps your book club supplies neatly together to make getting ready for a meeting a snap!

Also, the All-In-One Organizer can be personalized! “Book Worm” “Book Club” “Heavy Reader” or “Keep Reading” are a few suggestions, but it’s completely up to you!

Don’t Forget the kids!

Libraries across the nation will soon start their summer reading programs for children, why not get a head start on keeping your kids’ reading organized!

Get an All-In-One Organizer to keep up with their library books.  Use the Fold-And-Go Organizer to keep the library’s hand outs (rules, etc) handy! Add the Hang-Up Home Organizer!  It’s 42″ high and 22.5″wide with2 clear note card sleeves, 2 large clear pockets (that can fit a standard sheet of paper), 4 pockets with clear ID slots. It holds 3 markers and includes 1 dry-erase marker! You can display your children’s progress on the reading list or on the library’s reading charts in the clear pockets! You can even make  reading wish lists!

If your library doesn’t offer a reading program, you can always make one to share with your kids. Why not read a book together this summer? Choose a book, pick a time (after dinner works well), and sit down together without phones, the TV, or video games and take turns reading out loud.

Strengthen their literacy skills, help them be more conformable speaking to groups, and foster their imagination all while spending time together!

And if their schools have summer reading lists, you can display those too! Having a reminder out were you can see it can help your children stay organized and save all of you from having an unread book hanging over their heads in the last weeks of summer vacation!

Easter Made Easy

Easter is April 8th!  Why not make this year’s Easter baskets something the kids (or grandkids) will use all year?  The Mini Utility Bin makes adorable, useful baskets that can fit all those goodies, sweets, eggs, and treats, but when Easter’s over, they don’t have to become more clutter to fill up you holiday storage with more seasonal decorations.

For your young man, try the Mini Utility Bin in Camo! Give him a kite building kit and add extra kite tape & string for those windy-day repairs to keep him out enjoying spring and away for his video games.

After the egg hunts and other Easter festivities, they can use their totes all summer!

Turn the Mini Utility Bin into a Sunday School Satchel! It can fit their Bible,a  notebook, and a pair of sneakers or flipflops to save their dress shoes if your church has outdoor activities in the Spring.

These bins can be used as Playkits to keep toys, bottles of water & healthy treats handy for Saturday or after school playdates.

Superbowl Party Plays

Superbowl Awareness

Party His Socks Off!

With the Superbowl 2 weeks away, it’s time to make those Super Sunday Party Plans!

Portable Party!

Even if you’re not a football fan, no one wants to be stuck in the kitchen when everyone else is partying in front of the television!

The Serving Tray Basket is a great way to carry coffee table appetizers from the kitchen to the couch in one trip! Plus, with a removable liner, clean up is a lot easier than carpet spot-cleaning!

Unintentional Messiness

There will be spills, crumbs, and confusion; be prepared for them!   Fill a Square Utility Tote with extra napkins, paper towel rolls, your preferred carpet spot pre-treater, & a handheld wet-vac. Now set it somewhere close to the action but out of the way like behind or beside your couch, under the coffee table, or next to you entertainment center. If the excitement causes a mess, you won’t have to run and hunt for any of your trusted supplies.

Don’t forget to have a trash bag handy! With napkins, toothpicks, wing bones, and other disposable/messy components, appetizers and snacks can make clutter & chaos fast! Keep your trash bags looking tidy with a Tall Utility Bin.

Personal Chip Sacs!

Passing a big bowl of chips can get dicey – especially in tense moments when your team is making a big play.  A simple solution is: stop sharing! A big bowl of chips can make a big mess with just one fumbled pass.  Line a few Littles Carry All Caddies with a small paper sack or plastic wrap and set the big chip bowl at your snack buffet with a handy scoop or large tongs.  Your guests can refill their chips as needed — and this tiny tote’s handle makes party plates overflowing with appetizers and chips a thing of the past!

Napkin Caddy & Sauce Bottle-olier

Keep all your sports fans happy by keeping their favorite sauces & condiments handy! Whether adding a dash of hot sauce or a squirt of ketchup – make sure your guests can easily get to what they want without missing a big play! Fill the 5 exterior pockets of a Mini Organizer with a variety of sauces, condiments, or spices and add extra napkins & flatware to the large inner pocket for extra convenience!

Get that Tailgate Feel Indoors (without the mess)

Want that tailgater vibe within sight of your tv? Put a few ice packs (not loose ice) in the Thermal Container and fill the rest with drink cans! Now your guests can get that “reaching into the cooler” moment without a drippy, ice-melting-to-a-puddle cooler scratching up your floor. Plus, the Thermal Container comes in small or large so you can choose the size that best suits your party’s needs.

Decorating & “Undecorating”

Don’t let your excitement get smothered before the game! Decorating with Thirty-One is a breeze!  Set out your supplies, then organize them in an Organizing Utility Tote. You can keep tape, scissors, and other small necessities in the side pockets and easy-to-reach while your hang streamers, banners, or signs.

Keep a little notebook and pen is the largest side pocket! Brainstorms for next year’s party or just your next party often hit while you’re hip-deep in setting up today’s party.  Don’t let those great ideas get away! Jot them down & keep them with you without leaving your decorating halfdone. Plus, when it’s time to take it all down, you can note anything that needs replacing (torn tablecloths, ripped streamers, etc).

Take the Party with You!

If you’re not partying at home, Thirty-One products can still make the party go smoother.

Expand-A-Tote Day Extender — If you’re going tailgating or to a barbeque, pack a few cold weather necessities in this versatile tote! An extra throw or blanket, firstaid kit, and handwarmers can come in very handy. With the Expand-A-Tote Day Extender, you can keep them all right at your side, and if the day warms up, you can unzip the middle to expand the tote and keep up with any accessories that are too hot for the party: scarves, gloves, caps. Telling your kids to put their gloves in this tote will help them keep up with their gloves and save you from discovering that they’ve lost a glove at the tailgate-party when you’re getting them ready for school the next day.

Large Utility Tote — Don’t make six trips! We’ve all done it. Walk from the car to the house, car to the house – carrying ugly plastic sacks with extra chips, drinks, a bag of ice, spare cups, and whatever else you’re taking to your friend’s party.  Just neatly stack it all in a Large Utility Tote and set it in your trunk. When you get there, take out the tote and make one trip to the house.  Once inside and empty, you can put yours and your kids coats in the tote to make getting them ready to go outside in the cold a little easier!

Zip-Up Pencil Pouch — Don’t want to be tied down to a large purse or tote for the party? Pack those necessities that won’t fit in your pocket in the Zip-Up Pencil Pouch. Keys, cellphone, tissues, and other supplies easily fit in the pouch, and the pouch will tuck into your coat your jacket! Or with a Wristlet strap you can keep the pouch close by without keeping your hands full!

Thirty-One products can make your party go smoother! Whatever your plans are, remember to have a great time!
