Thirty-One Summer Party Ideas

Summer is the perfect time to have a Thirty-One party.  After being inside all winter and dealing with the rainy spring, everyone will be ready to enjoy nice weather.  The warmer weather makes for a number of great party ideas.   Here is a list of some ideas for summer time parties.

  1. Plan a Thirty One party at a park.  You can set up your merchandise on a picnic table.  Moms can bring the kids and let them play in the park while she enjoys some grownup time with a group of friends while viewing the wonderful lineup of Thirty-One Gifts.  If you really want to get creative you could provide a sitter for the events so that mom can relax and shop.
  2. Plan a pool party. If you don’t have your own pool, use the community pool.  There is always room around the pool to set up a party.  The kids will love you for it.
  3. Plan a party at a kid friendly restaurant especially one with a play land. I love going to places that have areas to entertain the children.  Some of the newer bowling alleys with the arcade and gaming areas are great places for a party.  Mom gets a day out and the children are happy too.
  4. Call you church friends, and plan a party during VBS (Vacation Bible School) time. Drop the kids off and head to Panera or Starbucks for a quick party on the go.
  5. Plan a girl’s night out at a local hot spot. If you have kids, your husband will welcome the chance to spend some quality time with the kids.  You will be doing him a favor.

This list contains a few ideas I have.  I am always interested in fun and exciting ways to present Thirty-one products.  I am sure if you think about it you can come up with a few ideas of your own.  Please share any ideas that you come up with.  My advice is to be as creative as possible to make the party fun.

My Thirty-One Story

The Thirty-One Fall/Winter catalog featured the the story of Executive Director Jenny Hillenburg. It is a story of growth, of rewards, and how one woman can succeed with the support of others including family, friends and company. This is the article as it appeared in the catalog:

Jenny Hillenburg

Jenny Hillenburg, Thirty One Senior Executive Director

Time flies when you’re having fun and my four years at Thirty-One  have been a whirlwind of enjoyment and excitement. I am proud to  say that I have been with the company since 2003 and I was the first  “original” Consultant. It’s been a great experience for me and I have  loved learning the business from the ground up.

My interest in Thirty-One began when I hosted a show at my house.  The room was packed with my friends and everyone was so excited  by the products. It was then that I knew I had found my calling and  could easily turn this kind of fun into a career. I had young children  at the time, but I also knew it was important for me to have time  away from the house to nurture my own personal growth and earn a  little extra spending money. Money was tight around our house and  we lived paycheck-to-paycheck.

Before I joined Thirty-One, I was very shy. Becoming a Consultant  changed all that and gave me the confidence, self-esteem and strong  sense of self worth that guided me to where I am today. I am not the  same person I was four years ago – I’m so much stronger and happier.  I’m now able to provide financially for my family. For example, we’ve  added a pool in our backyard and we’ve vacationed in Jamaica twice,  with a third trip planned next year!

There is so much more to Thirty-One than just the financial rewards.  I love meeting new people at my shows and forming relationships  with customers and hostesses. One of the best aspects of my job is  sharing the opportunity with others and watching them grow their  own successful businesses. Being promoted from a Consultant to a  Director has been personally fulfilling and the friends I’ve gained  across the country are priceless. I highly encourage anyone to just  give Thirty-One a try. This career can fit into any lifestyle because  you can set your own schedule.

Thirty-One has helped me realize that I can turn my dreams into  reality. I have faith in this company, in my consultants, and in myself.  I’m proud of what I’ve been able to accomplish and it also feels good  to know that I’m setting a good example for my children.
